Hello, and happy Friday! The weekend is nearly here, but before you unwind, there’s one more Wordle puzzle to solve. If you’re looking to keep your streak alive, we’ve got some helpful hints for today’s challenge, along with the answer.

What is Wordle?

Wordle is a simple yet addictive word game that burst onto the scene in 2021. The goal is to guess a five-letter word each day using a process of elimination. Everyone plays the same word, making it a fun daily challenge to share.

Wordle’s rise to fame came toward the end of 2021, when creator Josh Wardle introduced an emoji-based grid that allowed players to easily share their results. The game’s viral success led to the creation of many similar games, but Wordle remains a favorite.

In early 2022, The New York Times acquired Wordle. Since then, it’s reported that players engaged in over 4.8 billion Wordle games in 2023 alone. No wonder it’s one of the most popular online games!

How to Play Wordle

To play, simply enter a five-letter word. Letters that are in the correct spot will turn green. If a letter is part of the word but in the wrong place, it’ll turn yellow. Letters that aren’t in the word at all will be grayed out.

You get six guesses to figure out the word, and even grayed-out letters can help you eliminate wrong options. Keep in mind that some words may have repeated letters.

You can play Wordle for free on The New York Times website, mobile apps, and even on Meta Quest headsets. If you sign in with an NYT account, you’ll be able to track your stats, including your win streak.
