UST”s spring 2021 commencement will take place at NRG Stadium May 8 at 11 a.m., University Events announced in an email to graduates Thursday.
“This venue is large enough to accommodate a safely distanced ceremony for graduates and their families,” the email reads. However, safety protocols for the event won’t be announced until April 19.
Graduates are allowed 12 guests each, and those guests will be assigned to a “socially distanced pod.” Tickets can be reserved on TicketMaster starting April 26; reservations will close May 7. Graduates will be required to enter the names of their guests at the time of registration.
Extra tickets will be offered May 3, availability permitting, for large families exceeding the 12 guest limit, according to the email.
